The Bronze Report is a magazine-style show about the vibrant African American community in the Bay Area and beyond.

The Bronze Report caught up with cast members of The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess before opening night in San Francisco.  Alicia Moran Hall (Bess) and Nathaniel Stampley (Porgy) star in the touring production of this Tony Award-winning musical -- replacing Audra McDaniel and Norm Lewis from 2012 Broadway revival.  San Francisco is their first stop on the 20-city tour.

We learned a lot about slavery in our history books, but in Marcus Gardley’s new play, The House That Will Not Stand, we discover the free women of color of the 1830s and what they had to do to survive.

DreamWorks’ holiday animated feature, The Rise of the Guardians is the first major 3-D computer generated movie ever directed by an African-American.  TBR's Jan Mabry introduces us to Peter Ramsey.

On January 12, 2010, a devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Haiti… some 316,000 people died… at least a million people were left homeless.  The shock waves went around the world and the response was unprecedented.  People donated billions of dollars to help. Where did all that money go?

The Bronze Report goes onstage and backstage.  First Barbara Rodgers takes us to see the production of Pearl Cleage's play on the Harlem Renaissance at a theatre undergoing its own renaissance.  Then, Jan Mabry chats with 4-time Grammy award winning jazz vocalist, Dianne Reeves.
