The civil rights movement broke down the barriers for African Americans in the work place.  Now, blacks make up more than  10% of America's workforce.  Not so in the Silicon Valley -- where our numbers are dismal at best.  It's rekindled a high-tech civil rights movement called the Digital Inclusion Initiative.

 

TBR's Barbara Rodgers sat down and talked to the man who is lighting that fire, The Reverend Jesse Jackson.

After The Bronze Report's interview with Reverend Jackson Google, Facebook, Twitter and several other companies released their diversity numbers.  The data reveals that for every 100 workers in Silicon Valley, barely 2 are African-American.
